Nonwoven Tape. When Fast Processing Matters
Double-sided nonwoven tape is defined by one property that counts every day in manual assembly and converting: the nonwoven carrier tears cleanly by hand, straight, without fraying, no scissors or cutter needed. What sounds like a small detail measurably reduces cycle times and makes nonwoven tape the first choice wherever fast, straightforward bonding is required.
Logo-Flex manufactures and converts double-sided nonwoven tape in nine standard variants, with hotmelt, pure acrylic or solvent-acrylic adhesive, in white or black nonwoven carrier, with adhesion values from >13 to >25 N/25mm. All variants are available from stock and can be converted to your custom widths or lengths.
Why Nonwoven Carrier?
Hand-Tearability
The decisive advantage of the nonwoven carrier over film or foam carriers is manual tearability. No cutting tool required: the tape tears cleanly without fraying and exposes a defined bonding area. In series production this saves time and significantly reduces handling effort.
Flexibility and Contour Adaptation
Nonwoven as a carrier conforms to slight surface irregularities without creating voids. This improves the actual bond area and therefore adhesion reliability compared to rigid film tapes, especially on rougher substrates such as cardboard, corrugated board or recycled paper.
Wide Adhesive Spectrum
With three available adhesive systems, Logo-Flex nonwoven tape covers different application profiles:
Hotmelt (No. 361, 363) offers high initial tack and is ideal for paper and cardboard bonding, packaging closures and display assembly. Temperature range up to +90°C.
Pure Acrylic (No. 417, 420, 421, 424, 430) is the most versatile system: UV-stable, solvent-free, with adhesion up to >25 N/25mm and temperature resistance up to +120°C. Suitable for permanently loaded bonds and outdoor applications.
Solvent Acrylic (No. 520, 530) adheres to difficult substrates such as PE, PP or painted surfaces where water-based systems reach their limits. Adhesion >13 N/25mm, up to +100°C.

Applications
Printing & Bookbinding
In print shops and bookbinding, nonwoven tape is used daily: for book block stitching, binding reinforcement, fold lamination and section bonding. Hand-tearability speeds up manual processes; the acrylic variants provide lasting adhesion even on coated or surface-treated papers.
Packaging & Lettershop
For mailings, insert enclosures and packaging closures, hotmelt variants (No. 361, 363) provide the initial tack needed for fast cycle rates. Paper and cardboard packaging is sealed securely without adhesive bleeding at cut edges.
Advertising & POS Displays
Black nonwoven tapes (No. 430, 530) are invisible behind dark materials and displays. Pure acrylic variants hold permanently under store lighting and changing temperature conditions. The flexibility of the nonwoven carrier allows bonding of slightly curved POS elements.
Assembly & Industrial Manufacturing
For workshop-grade assembly tasks, signs, nameplates, notice boards, labels, pure acrylic variants with high adhesion (>25 N/25mm) provide reliable long-term hold on metal, plastic and glass.
Custom Converting on Demand
Stock rolls are the fastest route. For series processes we convert nonwoven tape to your exact widths, lengths and core diameters. On request we add fingerlift tabs for tool-free liner removal, or deliver as kiss-cut on sheet for machine processing.
Our delivery network covers the entire DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and all of Europe. For urgent orders we draw on our own die-cutting facility, short response times, direct contact with production.
FAQ
What is the difference between hotmelt and acrylic nonwoven tape?
Hotmelt tapes (No. 361, 363) have very high initial tack, they bond immediately on contact and are ideal for fast paper and cardboard bonding and packaging closures. Acrylic tapes (No. 417–430) need slightly longer cure times, but offer significantly higher temperature resistance (up to +120°C vs. +90°C), UV stability and better long-term shear strength. For permanent bonds and outdoor use, acrylic is the better choice; for high-speed processes on paper, hotmelt excels.
Which substrates does nonwoven tape bond best on?
Nonwoven tape with pure acrylic bonds particularly well on paper, cardboard, coated print materials, rigid plastics (ABS, PS), metal and glass. On polyolefins (PE, PP) with low surface energy we recommend the solvent-acrylic variants (No. 520, 530), which cover a wider substrate adhesion spectrum. If you are uncertain about your substrate, we are happy to provide samples for adhesion testing.
Can nonwoven tape be die-cut or fitted with fingerlift tabs?
Yes. We convert nonwoven tape as die-cut parts (rectangles, circles, custom shapes), as kiss-cut on sheet or roll, and with fingerlift tabs for tool-free liner removal. We can also fit your supplied nonwoven tape with fingerlift tabs or die-cut it to your specifications as a contract converting service. Contact us with your requirements.
