Elastic Bumpers. When Standard Silicone Fails

Standard bumpers made from silicone or PVC yellow under UV exposure, become brittle over time or lose their damping properties. Silicone bumpers yellow fastest in sunny environments. On high-quality surfaces, glass, acrylic, lacquered panels, this is not only a functional problem but also an aesthetic one.

LogoBump bumpers from 2K polyurethane stay permanently transparent. Even after years of UV exposure, the material retains its clarity and elasticity. No yellowing, no embrittlement, no plasticiser migration.

What does Shore hardness mean for elastic bumpers?

Shore A is used for softer materials (0 = softest, 100 = hardest). Our standard LogoBump bumpers are produced in 60–80 Shore A, a range suitable for most stop, bumper and damping applications. Other Shore grades are available for custom production on request.

How long do LogoBump bumpers last?

LogoBump bumpers typically last 5–10 years or longer depending on environment and load. As the material is UV-stable and contains no plasticisers, LogoBump bumpers retain their elasticity and transparency far longer than standard silicone or PVC bumpers.
