Logo-Bond Plus – Edge-Passivated Acrylic Tape with Tack-Free Edges
Logo-Bond Plus, the acrylic tape with tack-free edges. Chemically deactivated roll edges prevent adhesive transfer to guide rollers and applicators. Full pure acrylic bond strength in the core.
Adhesive system
Pure acrylic (closed core), highly transparent
Edge passivation (Dry-Edge)
Yes, chemically deactivated longitudinal edges (0.3–1.0 mm per side)
Temperature resistance
Continuous to +90 °C, short-term to +120 °C
Logo-Bond Plus. Bonds Where It Should. Not Where It Shouldn’t.
Adhesive residue on guide rollers, sticky tape edges on visible profiles, roll edges blocking during storage, these are the everyday problems of double-sided tapes in processing. Logo-Bond Plus solves exactly that.
Logo-Bond Plus is a proprietary development by Logo-Flex: A double-sided high-performance pure acrylic tape where the longitudinal roll edges are chemically deactivated. The edges don’t stick, the core bonds at full structural strength. No cure time, no rework, immediately load-bearing.
Technically, Logo-Bond Plus is based on the proven Logo-Bond acrylic tape series. All performance values, transparency, structural bond strength, UV resistance, remain identical.
Why Pure Acrylic Tape Instead of Silicone or Screws?
Conventional joining methods like silicone, dowels or screws cost time and require rework. Silicone bonds need hours to cure, mechanical fasteners leave drill holes. Logo-Bond Plus as a high-performance pure acrylic tape offers a cleaner alternative:
- Immediately load-bearing: No cure time, components are fixed the moment they are joined.
- Clean application: Unroll, press, done. No tools, no waste, no cleanup.
- Highly transparent: The viscoelastic pure acrylic adhesive is full-surface bonding and highly transparent, ideal for glass applications and visible bonds.
- Long-term durability: UV-, weather- and chemical-resistant. Equally suited for indoor and outdoor applications.
- Stress compensation: The elastic acrylic adhesive compensates for thermal expansion and vibrations, screws and rivets cannot.
How Logo-Bond Plus Edge Passivation Works
During manufacturing, the outermost longitudinal edges of the tape roll (typically 0.3 to 1.0 mm per side) are chemically deactivated. The adhesive in this narrow border zone permanently loses its tack. The pure acrylic core in the centre of the tape remains unaffected and retains its full bonding performance.
This process is a Logo-Flex proprietary development, carried out at our facility in Remscheid, Germany. This is our decisive advantage over comparable high-performance acrylic tapes: same structural bond strength, but no adhesive problems at the edges.
Where Logo-Bond Plus Makes the Difference
Wherever high-performance bonding is required and conventional double-sided tapes cause problems at the edges:
- Glass and profile mounting: Glass partition walls, signs, muntin bar mounting, decorative trims, highly transparent bonding without adhesive bleed at visible edges. Cleaner than silicone, faster than mechanical fastening.
- Facade elements and outdoor applications: Profile bonding, metal cladding, exterior signage. UV- and weather-resistant, without the sticky edges that smear even more in heat.
- Clean edges, even in use: Tack-free edges don’t attract dust, dirt or fibres. The tape border stays permanently clean, a common problem with conventional tapes that have exposed sticky edges is eliminated entirely.

FAQ
Does Logo-Bond Plus lose bond strength because of the tack-free edges?
No. The passivation affects only the outermost 0.3–1.0 mm of the roll edges. The active bonding area in the centre delivers the exact same structural bond strength as the standard Logo-Bond series.
Can Logo-Bond Plus replace silicone in glass bonding?
In many applications, yes, for instance glass partition walls, muntin bar mounting or profile bonding. The advantage: no cure time, immediately load-bearing, no smearing. For load-bearing structural glazing on exterior facades, however, building code requirements apply that require separate testing and approval.
Why not simply use narrower tape?
Because the problem isn’t the tape width, it’s the sticky edge. A narrower tape still has tacky edges. Logo-Bond Plus doesn’t.
Do die-cut parts also have tack-free edges?
No. The passivation is fixed to the original roll edges only. Die-cutting creates new cut edges that are normally tacky. If tack-free edges are critical, use the tape at its original roll width.
What’s the difference between Logo-Bond Plus and Logo-Bond?
Only the edge passivation. Adhesive, carrier material, temperature resistance and bond strength are identical. Logo-Bond Plus is Logo-Bond with tack-free edges.
What surfaces can Logo-Bond Plus bond?
Glass, metal, smooth wood, most plastics, on smooth to slightly rough substrates. The viscoelastic acrylic adhesive conforms to surface irregularities and builds full ultimate strength over 72 hours.
